Meet our Soapbox speaker: Susan Ehrlich

Susan’s expertise in financial services includes traditional banking as well as fintech. She is focused on the personal goal of leveraging technology to empower clients and transform banking to improve. As the CEO of Earnest and a Top 50 Financial Technology CEO, she was recognized as the top 50 financial Technology CEO. Before joining Earnest, her work experience included executive positions at Simple, Amazon, Lending Club, H&R Block, Sears, JPMorgan Chase, and Citi.

Susan is now leveraging strategies for digital transformation and skills in building culture as an advisor, board member, and investor for fintech. She is currently in her seventh year as a member of the board at BECU, the 3rd largest credit union, where she was chair of the board (3 years) and chair of the audit committee (1 year). As a Director to Watch, she’s an independent director of two fintech startups with venture capital backing, Petal Technologies (Series D) and Arrived Homes (Series A). She is the advisor for two additional: Atomic FI (Series B) and Sentilink (Series B). Susan has a B. A. with distinction in management and organizational behavior at Brown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She lives in California’s Bay Area and splits her time between Russian Hill and the Ehrlich family vineyard in Napa Valley.
